Karin Allmendinger - Development Associate

I grew up in the Lehigh Valley and settled in Berks County after attending Wittenberg University (Ohio) and working in college admissions in Massachusetts. My professional career has been spent in the non-profit arena, first in higher education, then in human services where I built my skills in relationship building and marketing. A long-term commitment as a board member of a local YMCA camp offered me a look into fundraising and leadership. BCSS interested me because here I can continue my commitment to bringing a unique mission to the Berks County Community, especially those we are privileged to support through programming and education.

My partner Michele and I live in Sinking Spring and enjoy spending time with our family, visiting with friends or just quietly crafting at the dining room table. I can also often be found behind the lens of my camera looking for birds, just enjoying the outdoors, or making a comfy cup of tea.
